Calorstat was founded in 1927 in France, initially manufacturing thermostats and supplying them to automobile manufacturers. Calorstat acquired Vernet, which was the pioneer of the "wax" thermostatic element and a leader in the thermal regulation market and started manufacturing under the brand of Vernet. In 1991, Calorstat was re-launched and is the aftermarket business unit of Vernet and unifies all the ranges of spare parts manufactured by the company.
Vernet thermostats are OE in many European heavy duty vehicles. Monex Automotive Parts is the official distributor of Vernet in Dubai (UAE) and MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
